Spain is one of the UK’s top tourist destinations and many Britons visit the Mediterranean country for the sun, sand and sea every year. But while many Britons choose to vacation in the beautiful areas of the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca, one of Spain’s best beaches can be found elsewhere.
In the study, Bounce’s team of travel experts looked at important factors such as weather, sea temperature, hotel prices, and number of restaurants.
They also looked at how many people tagged the beach in an Instagram vacation post.
While the winning beach was the magnificent Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro, a Spanish beach also made it to the top 10.
Barceloneta Beach has been ranked as the eighth best beach in the world and is a fantastic destination for British tourists.

Located on the edge of the bustling Spanish city of Barcelona, Playa de La Barceloneta has been hashtagged 94,600 times on Instagram.
Tourists are spoiled for choice when it comes to a beach side snack, as the beach has over 9,500 bars and restaurants.
Hotel prices are reasonable at an average of £ 134 per night for a hotel room right on the beach.
British tourists vacationing at Barceloneta beach will also be able to enjoy all that Barcelona has to offer.

On Tripadvisor, Joanne Hurley said: “Clean fantastic beach, lots of activities like windsurfing, kayaking, paddle boarding.
“The promenade is ideal for scooters, cycling and any other type of transport. Very touristy but a great fun place with lots to see and do.
Snowball Adventure said: “We visited on a sunny September day, the temperature of the Mediterranean Sea was perfect and the beach was not crowded at all.”
KiwiKerry33 said: “A beautiful and clean beach offers a nice walk in the city of Barcelona. Really pleasant, although a slightly cool wind.
Playa de Barceloneta is located in the fishing district of the city and has a reputation for excellent seafood.
La Barceloneta is also home to a large aquarium which is a fantastic day trip for any family visiting the area.
Outside of Spain, four of the best beaches in the world for British tourists were in the United States.
Miami Beach, Venice Beach in Los Angeles, South Beach in Miami, and Santa Monica Beach in Los Angeles all rank in the top five beaches.
Miami Beach is one of the most Instagrammed beaches in the world and has been tagged 14 million times.
Naama Bay, in the best Egyptian tourist resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, was also chosen as one of the best beaches in the world.
Pink Sand Beach at Codrington and Mui Ne Beach in Vietnam rounded out the best beaches in the world.
