Text description provided by the architects. The site is distinguished by its location on a plateau, with remarkable views of the Pyrenean chain. This plateau is dominated by agricultural fields, woods and some suburban dwellings. Its very natural character leads us to think of a stadium in close relation with its environment. Our celebration permeates the rural fabric to blend delicately into the Ger countryside.

A soft architecture in resonance with the landscape: The clean and slender lines of the stands structure the site, giving the club a strong identity. The subtle canopy of the leading edge, associated with the wooden mesh on the underside, gives an impression of lightness to the whole structure and contrasts with the “raw” concrete of the stands. The reinforced concrete base ensures the strength and durability of the structure, requiring very little maintenance; it responds favorably to seismic rules and to bank resonance problems. The cover consists of an opaque cover plate at the bottom and a translucent plate at the top. This arrangement allows direct sunlight on the lawn, avoiding shaded areas on the ground and therefore the risk of frost in winter.

The wooden slats positioned on the interior facade to the west and on the underside of the roof act as a moucharabieh, creating an effective solar filter. This crumpled wood lace gives the stands a unique look. The triangle-shaped gantries provide efficient bracing and the canopy with innovative graphics. The architecture of the reception hall is closely linked to that of the galleries. The roof and the west side covered with zinc, create a fold enveloping the glazed volumes of the room. The glued-laminated timber frame creates a warm atmosphere in the reception area.
